my dad went back on the road this morning, and needless to say i've been plenty busy the past few days while he was home! christmas was great - i got persona 5 royal and splatoon 3, some fnaf and pokemon merch, even a figure of cream the rabbit (which i was convinced my mom would never find anywhere tbh), an actual computer mouse and a makeshift lap desk (in the form of a dry erase board lol) so i am free at last from trackpad hell when playing games with my friends!!!! ^^ very excited to use it. been having a blast with my switch games, ate poke for the first time in a hot minute a couple days ago...life is good rn. -w-

my dad got home safely today :3 however i personally have just been chilling and making a new playlist! a winter-themed one with exclusively video game music - think of it as an expansion of the songs on this page. u can find it right here ^^ also to watched Mickey's Christmas Carol as well as Nightmare Before Christmas with my friends on discord, god it's been years since i've seen either film. very excited for the holiday itself tomorrow...

i got the art trade done yesterday! didn't really feel good enough to make a proper entry, had a weird bout of anxiety waking up yesterday morning. but it's all good now, my dad is coming home from his long-distance truck driving job for christmas ^w^ should be here sometime tonight or tomorrow! i was getting kinda concerned about him because he didn't call since early this morning til about an hour ago, and my mom kept getting directly sent to voicemail when she tried calling him. still not sure what the issue was, but i'm glad he's ok. as i'm writing this i'm watching some of my friends play Lethal Company! i tried playing too but it was too much for my poor laptop to handle and it crashed from overheating. :( maybe for the best, i'm not sure i understand a thing that's happening even after watching them go through a couple of rounds lol.

well, today sure has been productive!! got up at a reasonable time (before noon!!!!), got my account approved on melonland forums, added finishing touches to my homepage, went for a nice walk outside after days of my legs being painfully restless when trying to sleep, accidentally stumbled upon a website i visited often in my childhood??? and an artist i look up to a lot in terms of character design complimented my character designs(!!!!), which motivated me to study their art a bit and finally settle on some good designs for a couple of character ideas i've had for a while. it's always super satisfying getting so much done in a day like that...maybe tomorrow i'll finally get around to finishing that art trade i still owe my end of, as well as some christmas gift art -w-
